snow...laundry baskets...beavertails

This past weekend we decided to brave the cold and snowy weather and headed to the world famous Rideau Canal Skateway. We are so lucky to have the world's largest skating rink (7.8 kilometres long) in our own backyard! We bundled up Little Miss L. and met up with my brother- and sister-in-law and their handsome little man. Little Miss L. loved watching everyone zip past on their skates, I can't wait until I am able to strap on her very own pair. No trip to the canal would be complete without stopping for one of those delicious pastries formed like a beaver's tail with lots of sugar and cinnamon on top - they are just so good! All and all, we had a fabulous time, and can't wait to head back again soon.
We forgot our toboggan at Nona and Pops house, so we had to improvise with the laundry basket.

Little Miss L. trying a beaver tail for the very first time, and of course, she loved it!

I will catch a snowflake if it takes me all day!
30 seconds into our car ride home, let's just say someone was tired!
